After the cancellation of the final event this year, now the season is over. Postponing the final round would have caused many logistical problems for both players and staff. We have had 9 amazing tournaments this year across Europe starting in April at the “Home of golf” in St. Andrews and finishing last September in Portugal.
The fourth season of the Long Drivers European Tour is over and this means that the
ranking/standings after 9 championships are final: Maurice Allen is the 2016 LDET Champion, Emil Rosberg finishes 2nd and Mauro Benaglio 3rd. CONGRATULATIONS
October 19th 2016 – BARCELONA. The Long Drivers European Tour (LDET) have announced the cancellation of the final championship ROAD TO NEW ZEALAND, the last event of the 2016 season, scheduled next 5th and 6th November at the Remuera Golf Club in the city of Auckland. It has not been an easy decision to make, but LDET has found a breach of contract from the local partner IGANZ in New Zealand and could not guarantee the smooth running of the final event. 24th September 2016 – QUINTA DO CONDE (PORTUGAL). – Ilija Djurdjevic, the Serbian player of the circuit, won the ninth tournament of the Long Drivers European Tour after winning the final of the Portugal Championship against Maurice Allen in two clear sets with two shots of 328 and 330 yards. Allen loses thus his second consecutive final, but he achieves the top of the ranking as the Swedish Emil Rosberg was also eliminated in Quarters against Djurdjevic. 10th September 2016 – SOIANO DEL LAGO (ITALY). – The new player, the English Brad Pearmain, won the eight tournament of the Long Drivers European Tour after winning in the final of the Italy LDET Championship against Maurice Allen (USA) in two sets with two shots of 326 and 329 yards. Pearmain played his first tournament of the season in the LDET and he also beat the current number one of the ranking, the Swede Emil Rosberg in the Quarters. 20th August 2016 – BLED (SLOVENIA). – American Maurice Allen won clearly the seventh tournament of the Long Drivers European Tour after winning in the final of the Slovenia LDET Championship against Ajay Matharu (KEN) in two sets with two best shots of 365 and 369 yards. Allen sums up his third win of the season and pursues the first place of the ranking still in the hands of Swede Emil Rosberg. The tournament was held for the first time at the Golf Course Bled. July 30th 2016 – Zalacsány (Hungary).- Teemu Pitkänen (FIN, 20) won the Hungary LDET Championship after beating (346/358) Mauro Benaglio (3320/331) in the big final and it´s his first title on the LDET tour. The sixth tournament of the season was held at Zala Springs Golf Resort, the best golf course in the country. RESULTS
9th July 2016 – PRAGUE. – American Maurice Allen won clearly the fifth tournament of the Long Drivers European Tour after winning the final of the Czech Republic LDET Championship against Danish Michael Jepsen in two sets with two best shots of 376 and 368 yards. Allen sums up his second win of the season and equals the Swede Emil Rosberg, eliminated in the 1/8 final against all odds. The tournament was held for the first time at the Golf Club Praha. June 25th 2016 – Atzenbrugg (AUSTRIA).- Swedish Emil Rosberg won the AUSTRIA LDET Championship beating the Swiss Mauro Benaglio with a best hits of 420 & 416 yards after playing two sets in an amazing tournament with bombs over the 400 yards marks. The longest ball of the day sponsored by Williams Racing Golf was 440 yards achieved by Teemu Pitkänen (FIN).The fourth tournament of the season was held for the first time in Austria at the Diamond Country Club (a European Tour Destination). 4th June 2016 – AMSTERDAM. – American Maurice Allen won the Holland LDET Championship beating the English Scott Beaven with a best hit of 376 & 367 yards after playing two sets in a amazing final and returns to the top of the podium in the circuit. 4th of May 2016, Silkeborg.- After the premiere of this tour season at the Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland, the home of golf, the adrenaline of the long drivers tour lands in Denmark, which is a new addition to the circuit. April 10th 2016, St. Andrews.- The Swedish Andreas Persson won the Scotland LDET Championship beating Dan Konyk with a best hit of 362 yards after playing three sets in the final. April 6th 2016 ST. ANDREWS.- The Long Drivers European Tour and Star Grip® today announced an agreement making Star Grips an official sponsor of the 2016 circuit beginning next weekend in St. Andrews for the Scotland LDET Championship and running through the whole season.

April 6th 2016 - BARCELONA. The LDET engine starts this Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April with the first tournament of the 2016 season. The championship will be held in Scotland at the Fairmont St. Andrews. January 12th 2016, BARCELONA. - The Long Drivers European Tour (LDET) presents the fourth season - the only long drive tour in the world- which will start next 8th and 9th April in Scotland. The Fairmont St Andrews will host the first tournament of LDET, new locations have been added to the LDET tour this year including Scotland premieres and Denmark, Austria, Hungary and Portugal.
