The LDET presents the official 2015 calendar

19th of January 2015.- BARCELONA. The Long Drivers European Tour (LDET) presents a new edition of the circuit –the only one of this sport in the world–,and will start the third season next 10th of April in Sweden. LDET will return to this country and will be for the first time in the Netherlands and Estonia. It will be a total of nine tournaments in nine scenarios, among which there is a final tournament outside the continent. Europe's top hitters will show again their talent and the British Joe Miller will face more competition than ever on the tee if he wants to defend his crown.

LDET returns to Sweden

Meanwhile players are already training; the LDET organization ensures a calendar full of emotions with a season that scheduled the Netherlands and Estonia as new countries. The kick-off will be in Sweden next 10th and 11th of April, a scenario where the circuit was already present in his first season and where returns with a great force. Not surprisingly, it is one of the best ranks of long drivers in Europe. The Swedish event will be held at Bro Hof Slott Golf Course, just 20 minutes far from downtown Stockholm, and a resort which is the second best golf course of the continent.

Two new challenges: Three weeks after the first bombings, the hitters will travel to Estonia the next 1st and 2nd of May to the golf course Estonian Golf & Country Club. It is only twenty five minutes far from the capital, Tallinn, and celebrates its tenth anniversary. The tournament will arrives for the first time and will be one of the sporting events of the year in a place considered one of the 100 best in Europe. Swedish player Annika Sörenstam, widely regarded as the greatest female golfer of all time, is to design her first course in Europe, at Estonian Golf & Country Club. Last summer, this venue held an event of international prestige like the International European Ladies Amateur Championship.

Consolidated countries: Slovenia, Belgium, Italy, Spain and France, will also be on board this third season. They are five countries betting big on the practice and diffusion of long drive. All of them, except Belgium, will repeat scenario. Among the hundreds of golf courses that exist in this country, LDET has chosen Mont Garni Golf Club for the Belgium event, which celebrates 25 years of life and will host the championship on the 3rd and 4th of July. The same weekend another simultaneous competitions will be organized for golf lovers as the nearest to the pin, a putting contest, etc.

The Spanish LDET Champ will be for the third year in Mijas Golf International (Mijas, Málaga) on the 11th and 12th of September. This venue certifies his commitment with the circuit and the long drive as one of the best and more known fields of golf on the Costa del Sol. As a new, THE CUP will be played the day before the big tournament. It will be a KO battle that promises to be very interesting among all amateurs and professionals players attending the event. Slovenia, Italy and France will repeat for the second season in the same scenarios that successfully hosted their rounds in 2014.

A different MASTERS: Among the surprises of the season there is THE MASTERS LDET CUP, a final tournament that the last year brought the hitters to Lumine Golf (Tarragona, Spain). This season will probably land in a country outside the European borders. "This tournament will be the bombshell and will announce it very soon" says Xavier Eusebio.

More competition for Miller: The British Joe Miller has been crown the European Long Drive Chanmpion for two consecutive seasons. Despite of his leadership, it will not be easy to renew it: Adrián Sánchez, the young Spanish hitter who has joined hard to the circuit is ready to snatch Miller his exclusivity number one. In this struggle will be added, among others, the Scottish John McSloy, currently #2, the English Scott Beaven, the South Africa's Dewald Lubbe or the Swedish bomber CJ Hellstrom. Thanks to LDET, many new European players will jump on the circuit of the long drive to tour throughout Europe. LDET will continue to pursue the categories of amateur, junior and women in this new season.
