Golf-Club Burgwedel was founded in 1992. Its golf course has an 18-hole park on an area spanning 90 hectares. It is only a 25-minute drive from the center of Hanover. The gently modeled grounds are structured by means of a biotope of untouched trees, hedgerow and shrubs. The park in the Engsensen district is 6,160 meters long. Harmoniously embedded in the natural landscape of the southern heathlands, this golf park meets the requirements of all handicap levels. The course is slightly hilly, featuring water obstacles and bunkers around the greens. Hole 9 deserves a mention as the most difficult hole on the course. It features a dogleg that is separated by hedges
With a length of 544 meters, hole 12 is particularly interesting for long hitters. Training facilities include a spacious, 350-meter long driving range with 60 tee-off points (four sheltered), pitching, chipping and putting greens as well as bunkers. The sandy ground ensures that the course at Golf-Club Burgwedel can be played on all year round. The club is very active. It organizes numerous tournaments and offers golf license and trial sessions in the affiliated golf academy, which works with three experienced pros. Equipment (clubs, trolleys, electric carts etc.) can be hired or purchased in the pro shop. The chefs at the golf restaurant serve culinary highlights.
