2016: I feel better, stronger & faster than ever
1. - This will be your third year as a Pro Long Driver...What are your goals for the 2016 season?
My goal in 2016 is to be ranked in TOP3 at the end of the season and it would be great to compete again at the WLDC.
2. - What´s your training program during the winter to be ready for the season?
I really did/ do a lot this winter to be ready for the new season. I changed my eating habits, go to the gym 7 times a week and work hard on my swing. I feel better, stronger and faster than ever.
3. - As a player...what does it means for you play a Long Drive tournament in St. Andrews?
It was always on my to-do-list to visit St. Andrews and feel the great atmosphere at the “Home of Golf“. One day I would also love to play the legendary Old Course.
First impressions before to start the 2014 season:
1) As a new player of the LDET circuit, what do you expect for
the 2014 season?
"In my first season on the LDET, I don't expect to win a lot of competitions, but to get in touch with the circuit, and learn as much as I can from the other players. As a competitor my goal is always to reach the best possible. I will try to compete as many competitions as possible in 2014 and do my best to represent my home country Switzerland."
2) What does it mean for you to be part of the tour?
"I feel very honored and proud to be a part of the LDET circuit. I love this sport and I cannot wait for my first shot at the LDET competitions."
Mauro is one of the rookies of the 2014 LDET circuit.
