What do you do besides golf? I am a PGA professional and I own a driving range where my academy UK Power Golf is based.
How long have you been playing golf and LD? Golf for 18 years. And Long Drive since 1999.
What did you want to be when you were little? A Football player.
How many days a week do you train? Five days a week.
What kind of training do you focus on? Speed work with light and heavy clubs and technical golf swing work.
What type of equipment do you use to train? And for competitions?
I use geek golf clubs and just shafts.
What does golf mean to you as a sport and especially the LD?
Golf is my living and I would one day like to play on tour, but for now long drive is my number one passion and what love, and it’s my goal to become world champion!
What does it mean to you, to be part of the circuit LDET?
It’s great that we have events in Europe as I love to compete and hopefully the tour will grow quickly before I’m too old.
What do you expect of the season? I hope to win again in Spain and beat Joe Miller again.
Currently, what level is Europe in relation to the United States in the discipline of the Long Drive?
Europe has less hitters but a very high quality level, easily as good as the USA, just less events in Europe.
What quality do you highlight above all for a Long Drive player? Good technique is most important.
What’s the difference between an ordinary golfer and one of LD? The ability to swing much faster.
Would you rather be a lucky player or have a stroke of luck? Lucky.
Before hitting the ball… what do you think about? Finish the swing in balance.
What sensations do you feel when you hit the ball? When I hit it good I don’t feel anything.
What is the worst enemy of a LD? Wind is the worst thing, and changing wind.
